About Elegant Tile & Stone

Yaro Mitskan, owner of Elegant Tile & Stone, came to the United States from Ukraine twenty-five years ago. Growing up, he watched his father lay tile and followed in his footsteps, becoming a second-generation tile-setter. In 2011, Yaro joined Campbell's Tile Concepts, a high-end residential tile contractor in Portland, Oregon. That's where his journey through the tile industry really took off. Starting as a tile setter's assistant, then evolving into a tile installation professional, and finally moving into management, provided Yaro with some very unique experience and growth in the industry.

In 2021, as part of family reunion, Yaro relocated to the Orlando, Florida, metro area, where he established Elegant Tile & Stone with the vision and desire to bring high-quality elegance to his customers homes and places of business. Yaro believes that serving the community is his greatest reward.

The experience and dedication to the quality work inspired Yaro to become a member of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), the biggest tile installers association in the world, as well as to get specific certifications from different manufacturers. Working with builders, homeowners, designers, and architects over the years provided Yaro with unique learning opportunities. It's the continuing education that cemented his great interest in constantly expanding evidence-based knowledge. To keep quality at its peak with modern technologies, Yaro dedicates time to expanding his knowledge through seminars, workshops, and personal research.
